Band Bios
(alphabetically, in reverse order of importance:)
Kevin "Del Rio" Darelius
Acoustic/Electric Guitars, Vocals
Graduate of the local country music scene, Kevin has vowed never again to play "Boot Scootin' Boogie". blah blah Nashville blah awards blah blah blah opening act blah blah shows blah blah and before I forget, blah blah blah.
"Iggy" Dickson
Drums, Percussion
Iggy has played with such bands and artists as The Baron James Band, The Seed
Band, Soundtailor and Brett Vogel among others. Currently the drummer for local
tribute band The Blue Moon Project, he is happy to join the Vista boys in the
drum chair. Iggy would also like to point out that he is one of only
three members in the band who is not engaged or married...and one of the other
guys apparently likes goats.......so there you go.
Jim Grass
Drums, Percussion
I started out this music journey on violin. After my parents were
advised "Jimmy is too rampageous for violin "I started playing trumpet all the
way into high school. The need to play rock-n-roll by the likes of Jimi
Hendrix, Deep Purple, Mott the Hoople pushed me towards the drums. I've had the pleasure of playing with Legal Tender, Random Order, The Lucy Parks Grass Band, The Three Piece Band, Gladstone Bag, Electric Medicine, Maji, The Preachers Mad
Daddy, The Forest City Ramblers, and now Vista Cruiser.
Greg Jones
Bass, Vocals
Single white male seeks goat for friendship first, maybe more.
Matt Losey Acoustic/Electric Guitars, Vocals
aka "Lucy", aka "Jake Southwick", Matt has played in the local jam band scene for years. Matt has played with the Lucy Parks Grass Band, and has played with various bluegrass projects and as a solo artist. "Vista Cruiser is truly what I've been looking for. As a band, we have the ability to play anything - that is very cool!" Influences include Fozzie Bear, Ralph the Dog, and the two old guys in the theatre
box.
Kevin Lyons Keyboards, Vocals
Kevin's bio was eaten by a goat - seriously. If you see this goat anywhere, please do not approach without notifying Greg.
Special thanks to JASON AMES, our secret weapon. Jason's the guy who plays guitar with The Forest City Ramblers, runs the soundboard and helps make us sound great. Thanks Jason!
RECIPE TO MAKE A ‘VISTA CRUISER'’ (Feeds up to 15,000)
Prepare the following together:
2 guitar players (Kevin Darelius and Matt Losey)
Bass player (Greg Jones)
Drums & other noises (Jim Grass & Iggy Dickson)
Keyboard player (Kevin Lyons)
Add the following seasonings, or ‘elements‘ to taste:
The Allman Bros. Band, Gov’t Mule, Phish, String Cheese Incident, Grateful Dead, The Band, Nickel Creek, Hawkwind, The Who, Dire Straits, and a few others (mmmmm yummy)
Allow to simmer; best results are achieved with extended jams.
